Trek to Hebbe Falls

Trek Team: Kalyan,SRP, Phani, Yugan, Sarath, Anil and Sreenivas

After a wonderful first day trek on the mulaingiri hills in chikmangalur, we became more enthusiastic for the trek to the hebbe falls near kemmengundi. Hebbe falls is around 8kms walk from the iron ore company in kemmengundi. The road to hebbe is through steep grassy slopes, narrow path surrounded by dense forests, coffee estates, crossing natural watercourses. You will enjoy every moment of the walk.

Its adventurous while walking down the steepy slopes. We had our heart in our mouth for few moments when kalyan tumbled down the steepy slopes. Luckily everything was good and we continued our trek on the narrow strip of lane down the hill.

Soon we reached a coffee estate and it was wonderful experience walking in the estate. Here we were greeted by unusual hosts(the leeches) while crossing the watercourse. Had a tough time in getting rid of these little blood sucking creatures.
Once we crossed the watercourse, we had to walk along side the watercourse surrounded by dense forest. I was amazed on the first sight of the huge waterfalls just infront of my eyes. I never saw such a huge waterfall in my life. It will be more than 200ft high in 2 levels. We had a wonderful time near the water fall.
On our journey back we had exhilaration pumping up, as if we conquered something. I will cherish these moments for rest of my life. I am also sharing some videos of this wonderful journey towards Hebbe Falls.
